Zach and Ethan were amazed that grandfather Edward has served in the infantry in France at the end of the war in Europe. Edward was touched that these young men were captivated by the history he had lived. It was an unusual Thanksgiving, in which the story of a small stone revealed a world of understanding between generations, and strengthened the ties that bind.
