Hi Yamini,
Well actually this tale has been adapted in many cultures for years. Our version is from a Russian folktale that was published in 1835. The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish (Russian: «Сказка о рыбаке и рыбке», romanized: Skazka o rybake i rybke) is a fairy tale in verse by Alexander Pushkin, published 1835. We hope you enjoyed our version.
